ACROSS THE WATER
A 7-meter wide artistic installation merging mirror-finish stainless steel with translucent acrylic, reinterpreting traditional ink-wash aesthetics as a luminous waterfront landmark.
ACROSS THE WATER
Located at the gateway of Xiaying Waterfront Park, "Across the Water" is a poetic abstraction of a single drop of ink dispersing in crystal-clear water. The installation features a fluid, sweeping form crafted from high-precision mirrored stainless steel that seamlessly reflects the surrounding sky, greenery, and architecture, effectively "disappearing" into nature while simultaneously defining it. Integrated within the metallic curves are translucent acrylic elements embedded with a smart LED system, creating a soft ripple effect that mimics the movement of the Yongxin River. By day, it is a minimalist mirror sculpture capturing the park's vitality; by night, it transforms into a glowing ink-wash painting. This piece serves as a spiritual anchor for the park, offering a contemporary tribute to Oriental aesthetics and the purity of aquatic ecosystems.
