CLOTH DRAGON

A colossal 183-meter undulating landmark inspired by Fenghua’s intangible cultural heritage, translating traditional dragon dance into a rhythmic sequence of light and steel.

CLOTH DRAGON

Stretching along the Donghuan Road landscape belt in Fenghua, "Cloth Dragon" serves as a visionary gateway for the CCCC Future City. Spanning an incredible 183 meters, the installation mimics the vigorous movement of the traditional Fenghua Cloth Dragon through a continuous S-shaped flowing form. The body is composed of modular stainless steel scales finished with high-gloss automotive paint, creating a delicate interplay of light and texture. At night, an integrated smart LED system embedded within the scales brings the dragon to life, with rhythmic light sequences simulating the dynamic energy of a live dragon dance. This work bridges the gap between ancient folk customs and modern urban transformation, symbolizing the vitality and upward trajectory of the demonstration zone.
