JOY OF FENGHUA RIVER
An immersive 17-meter interactive art wall merging marine-themed labyrinths with kinetic ball-run mechanisms to foster community engagement and playful exploration.
JOY OF FENGHUA RIVER
Seamlessly embedded into the retaining wall interface of the Fenghua River East Bank, "Joy of Fenghua River" is a linear installation that harmonizes with the rhythmic flow of the waterfront promenade. The work transforms a traditional landscape boundary into a vibrant, multi-sensory experience by combining laser-cut marine life motifs with a functional ball-run labyrinth. Finished in a bold palette of blue, yellow, purple, and red fluorocarbon coatings, the installation bridges the gap between public art and interactive play. It serves as a vital social node, specifically designed to activate the waterfront’s vitality by inviting citizens—especially children—to explore, interact, and connect with the river’s ecological narrative in a joyful, tactile way.
